Biography

“41 years in Miami as a Criminal lawyer has allowed me to build great relationships with Judges, Prosecutors and Officers of the Court. I look forward to sharing this experience with you.”

George is one of the best Federal Criminal Defense lawyers in the Country, and represents individuals charged with crimes all over the United States. He is currently representing a person charged with insurrection at the Nations Capitol as a result of the January 6 incidents in Washington D.C.

George has successfully defended thousands of criminally accused individuals and has filed hundreds of appellate-level challenges. George has earned a reputation for obtaining positive results and can be trusted to handle even the most complex criminal cases with care. He takes on all types of criminal cases, including sex crimes, fraud crimes, drug crimes, white-collars crimes, parole and probation matters, and DUI manslaughter cases.
Known locally as the “King of the DMV,” George has handled more administrative DUI hearings (over 4,000) at the Department of Motor Vehicles than almost any lawyer in the entire State of Florida.

Education & Background

George attended the University of Miami School of Law and graduated with honors in 1982. He later served as a Professor of Law at the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice. George is an AV® Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell®. This honor is bestowed to the top 5% of lawyers in State of Florida.

George has taken well over 100 criminal cases to jury trial throughout his 41-year career and has appeared in front of every sitting judge in the Miami-Dade Criminal Courthouse. In 1986, George was successful in convincing a judge to strike down the statute requiring a jury to find his client guilty of DUI with a blood alcohol level over .10 (State v. Oakley). The case received national media attention, affected thousands of other pending DUI trial cases, and was one of the first of its kind.
