Helmuth Solis (1982–2025) was a founding partner of Beckham Law Firm and a widely respected figure in the South Florida criminal defense community.

Over the course of his career, he represented thousands of individuals facing serious legal charges, earning a reputation for his skilled advocacy and steady presence in times of crisis. His work helped shape not only the lives of his clients, but also the values and vision that continue to guide our firm today.

Born and raised in Miami, Helmuth remained deeply connected to his city and its people throughout his life. After graduating with honors from Florida International University, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, also with honors. He began his legal career as a prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he served as a DUI training attorney and developed the courtroom skills and legal judgment that would later define his career in private practice.

As a criminal defense lawyer, Helmuth earned a reputation for tenacity, preparation, and compassion. He was a fierce advocate for his clients and an empathetic guide through a complex legal system. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Helmuth brought a personal touch to his advocacy that was especially meaningful in Miami’s diverse community. He treated his clients with dignity and always sought solutions that preserved their futures and protected their rights.

Helmuth’s legal accomplishments included recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and repeated selection to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100. Beyond accolades, he was known for his professionalism, integrity, and the respect he earned from judges, colleagues, and clients alike. He was a frequent speaker at legal seminars and conferences, and he mentored younger attorneys with the same dedication he gave to his clients.

Helmuth was a foundational part of Beckham Law Firm – not just in title, but in spirit. His values, high standards, and belief in teamwork continue to influence the firm’s work every day.
